An Attractive Window Display Can Also Be Offensive

An effective window display is ATTRACTIVE. This is one the principles of an effective window display but this has caused Philip Browne’s window display to be called offensive.

The concept o the window display is a ‘drunk’ mannequin urinating against a wall to produce the word ‘sale’ but is was change into a mannequin that shows some regret by getting down on his knees to scrub up his mess after the police called the owner of the shop and told him to remove the dummy because the display is sought to be ‘disgracefully offensive’.

The creativity of the designer is impressive. However, to capture the attention of many is only one of the principles to follow to have an effective window display and to have an APPROPRIATE one is another. As I have mentioned before, inappropriate window display will disappoint the customers instead of attracting them and this Philip Browne’s unusual window display is one of the examples of what I mean.

Not all attractive window display succeed, so be careful!

    lol, this window display needs parental guidance.I think this is very disturbing display.Creative, yes but not pleasing to the eyes.
